1) How long is the walk?
The two walk options are 1 mile or 5K (approximately 3 miles).

 

2) How do I get to Castle Island?

3) How much of my donation goes to lung cancer research?
Since 2006, The Boston Area Lung Cancer Walk has raised more than $480,000 for the benefit of LUNGevity Foundation.  Because LUNGevity matches every dollar allocated to research, our efforts have actually contributed over $770,000 to lung cancer research.  We are pleased to report that LUNGevity Foundation, with it's granting partners, has invested $830,000 in lung cancer research, right here in Boston! LUNGevity has received a rating of four stars from Charity Navigator for fiscal responsibility.

 

4) What if it rains?
Our walk is held rain or shine. We did have to cancel the 2007 event due to extreme weather. However, we see this as a rare occurrence and do not anticipate the need to cancel again.
